About Managing The Curve:
As the tagline states, “Re:thinking the Future of HR” is what this blog is all about. My goal is to engage and build a community of business leaders who want to explore, examine, and redefine the strategic impact of Human Resources now and in the not-so distant future. Welcome to the conversation.
A little about me:
It is not surprising that I am passionate about and have chosen a field that merges business, psychology, and improving both individual and organizational performance. My Dad was an entrepreneur with a PhD in economics while my Mom is a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor. Looking back on my upbringing, their contrasting perspectives provided the perfect Ying and Yang and fueled my decision to go graduate school in Organizational Psychology.
Since that time and over the past ten years, I have been fortunate to work, consultant and learn from an amazing list of companies including IBM, Kaiser Permanente, Yum Brands, Sprint, Genentech, Thomson Reuters, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox and LEGO.
As an organizational change and strategy consultant for IBM Global Business Services, I led and delivered large-scale transformations ranging from business process outsourcing, reorganizations, business process redesigns and a variety of technology and system implementations.
In my internal experiences, I provided organizational effectiveness and strategic human resource services to both field and corporate client groups ranging from talent management, process improvement, performance management, engagement, and retention of critical talent, and culture transformation.
Along the way, I took a slight detour from the world of HR and co-founded a successful brand strategy and design firm. With clients in the entertainment industry, we developed marketing strategies, executed consumer research, and created compelling design for some of the most well known entertainment brands in the world.
Currently, I am a Senior Consultant with Sibson Consulting, a leading strategic human capital consulting firm where I partner with clients to diagnosis, design, and implement organizational effectiveness and talent management related initiatives that drive enhanced and sustained business results.
On a personal note, I live in Los Angeles, California with my wonderful wife Christiane and our goldendoodle, London.
